This page will give you a brief summary of the important information that you may need to know prior to committing to play in the Tuesday Night Variety Golf League:
Entry Fee- $55.00/player or $110.00/team. Entry fee covers the following: weekly closest to the pins on par 3's, end of year pay-outs (every team will get some $$ back), end of year tournament entry fee, end of year tournament skins entry fee, end of year tournament food/beverages. $1.00/player will go to running the league expenses. All entry fees will be paid by April 22nd. (At April 8th meeting would be great.....)
Start Date- April 22nd. Tee times begins @ 4:53 p.m.
End Date- Aug 19th (Position Night)
League Tournament- Sunday, Aug 24th
Skins Game- Yes, there will be an optional $2.00/week skins game for "gross" score only....no hdcp. will be used. If you KNOW you will get in weekly when able to play, please let Steve know.
Figuring Hdcp's- 100% will be used. When figuring hdcp's no score higher than a triple bogey will count, and the max. hdcp. in the league is 18. (2-shots/hole)Note- HDCP's will be re-established this year due to playing at a new venue.
Scoring- Modified Stableford Hdcp'd Scoring as follows: "Net"- Double Eagle= 6 pts, Eagle= 5 pts, Birdie= 4 pts, Par= 3 pts. Bogey= 1 pt. and Double Bogey or higher= 0 points. Note- If your team scores more points than your opponent you get 4 bonus points, and weekly high team gets 1 additional bonus point. If two or more teams tie for the weekly high no bonus point will be awarded that week. Head to head ties each team will get 2 points.
Out of Bounds-As we have done in the past, OB will be played as Lateral Hazard. You will drop within approx.2-club lengths or on the line of where the ball crossed into the OB area, and add ONE penalty stroke to your score. (Ex. drive goes OB on drive, drop, and hit 3rd shot)
Subs- A quality and reliable sub list is very important to our league. If you are unable to play it is your responsibility to get your own sub or contact me as soon as possible and I will try to get you a sub. The league agreed that there is "no backing in scores", so we must work together to avoid any potential problems. Also, give Steve a name and phone number of some people that would be interested in subbing in our league.
